ESU is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants.

Zero Tolerance for Violence

We enforce a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of violence, whether physical, verbal, psychological, or otherwise. Any acts of aggression, harassment, or intimidation between participants are strictly prohibited.

Reporting and Support

If you are a victim of, or witness to, any violent or hostile event involving members of the summer school community, please know that you are not alone and your concerns will be handled with discretion and care.

We strongly encourage you to report the incident immediately to our designated contact person:

  • Yael Netzer (yael.netzer@gmail.com)
  • Alternatively, you may approach any other member of the Steering Committee

You can always request English-language volunteer help at France Victimes, or call 116 006 from a French phone number.

Special units and support services at MLPU can be reached here https://sos.univ-fcomte.fr/. File a report directly at this portal and a representative from the University will reach out to you to help support you. SOS is a service for victims and witnesses of sexual and sexist violence, discrimination, harassment, and all other forms of violence. SOS is available for the entire university community, including participants (students and instructors) of the ESU. It is explicitly open for those who consider themselves victims or who have witnessed violence.
